Earn Tons of Community Service Hours
For the event to be successful, we need the help of our parent, student, and athlete volunteers. Students can earn community service hours for their participation, and some students in the past have earned all 40 required hours just from this event.

| Role | Description |
| On-Site Supervisor | Supervises and ensures all volunteers show up for their time slots and fills in for no-show volunteers. Manages issues with the pool, volunteers, and site. Requests facility or equipment support (e.g., replacement shot clock). Signs the volunteer hours paperwork. |
| Pool Setup | Sets up the competition site. On Day 1, puts the cages in place. On subsequent days, sets up tables, athlete benches, the canopy for the game desk, the shot clock, and the scoreboard system. |
| Game Desk: Run Clock | Watches the game and operates the shot clocks. Stops/starts time, resets the clock, sets new game time, and manages breaks. |
| Game Desk: Scorebook | Receives the scoresheet from coaches and records the scores, ejections, goals, etc., on the sheet for the game. |
| Game Desk: Flags, Assistance | Watches the games and calls out events to assist the scorebook manager. Manages the elapsed 20 seconds for ejections and raises proper flags for re-entry or after three ejections. Assists the scorebook manager with recording cap numbers for shots, ejections, and penalties. |
| Game Desk: Supervisor | Supervises all game desk roles, acts as relief for breaks, works with referees to resolve any issues, and is responsible for texting the final results and scores after the game to USA Water Polo. |
| Gate Entry Manager | Verifies that all spectators have the correct wristband colors for the day. Ensures that all athletes and coaches have proper tags for entry. Verify USA Water Polo ticket purchases with an App and distributes wristbands. Manages sales for small snack items (e.g., water bottles). |
| Hospitality Errands | Picks up food for lunch for staff, makes runs to pick up other necessary items, and manages simple drinks and cooler refills. |
| Pool Clean Up | Puts away the benches, shot clocks, tables, chairs, and shot clocks into the cage. Leaves all extension cords or wires on deck for faster setup. On the last day, puts everything away. |
